Barcelona interested in French youngster Yann Karamoh

The only reason that France are bring touted as favourites to win the 2018 World Cup : Young, dynamic, talented players like Raphaël Varane, Paul Pogba, Thomas Lemar, Kylian Mbappé and Anthony Martial.
But for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the dynamism will come with the likes of Maxime Lopez, Houssem Aouar, Lucas Tousart, Moussa Dembélé and Ousmane Dembélé. The time of the previous era, consisting of players like Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny is over.
Now, the best football clubs in the world are after the stars of tomorrow, and they come mostly from France, as the European nation is experiencing a Renaissance when it comes to emergence of youth players.
Barcelona already delved into this market when they signed Ousmane Dembélé last summer, and is courting Houssem Aouar and Maxime Lopez. But the Catalans have also entered the race for the signature of the last breakout French youngster, Yann Karamoh.
Karamoh joined Inter Milan from Caen earlier this season after impressing at the Normandy club. Till date, he has made 8 appearances at Inter, scoring a 1 goal. This may look like a poor return, but his presence on the pitch has been mostly limited to appearances off the bench.
In the only game he started, in a 2-1 win over Bologna, Karamoh scored his only goal of the season and took home the Man-of-the-Match award. The 19-year old is a very talented player, and would make a good addition to the squad.
His arrival would mean the end of Paco Alcácer’s Barcelona career, but the ex-Valencia hasn’t been very impressive in his 31 appearances for the club. He would back up Luis Suárez and Antoine Griezmann, and start in the Copa del Rey games.
But Chelsea are also in the running. And Inter, who signed him on loan, have an option to permanently sign him at the end of the season. Barcelona will have to overcome these two obstacles if they are to sign Karamoh.
