Swansea turn their attention to Liverpool outcast Lazar Markovic after move for Atletico Madrid's Nicolas Gaitan falls through

Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic is discussing a January move to Swansea City.The 23-year-old is seen as an alternative to Atletico Madrid's Nicolas Gaitan Markovic has struggled since moving to Merseyside under Brendan Rodgers. The Serbian spent last season out on loan at both Sporting Lisbon and Hull 

The Serbian has failed to register a single appearance during this campaign after returning from a loan spell at Hull City.
Prior to moving to Hull, Markovic spent the first half of the last campaign back in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon.
He made 14 appearances and scored two goals before being re-called and sent to the KCOM Stadium, where he also played 14 times and notched twice.
 
As well as Markovic, Swansea remain in discussions with West Ham over an £18m deal for Andre Ayew.
West Ham have asked for Ki Sung Yeung, as first reported in Sportsmail, but the Swans want to do a straight deal for Ayew at £17m plus £1m in add-ons. 
Meanwhile Liverpool's England U20 international midfielder Ovie Ejaria is joining Sunderland on loan.
