POLAND TO OPEN NEW CONSULATES IN US WHILE ISRAEL AIR FORCE DECLARING SPICE 1000 OPERATIONAL

The centres, in Detroit and St. Louis, will be headed by unpaid honorary consuls.
Their aim will be to support the local Polish community and boost Polish-American cooperation, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
The honorary consul in St. Louis will be Wojciech Golik while Ryszard Walawander has been appointed to the post in Detroit.
The Polish foreign ministry has not yet announced when the consulates will open.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) announced on 7 March that the Rafael SPICE 1000 guided bomb had reached initial operational capability (IOC) on its F-16C/D Barak fighter aircraft following a series of trials.
The IAF said the guided bomb was integrated in recent months by the 190th and 110th Fighter Squadrons, which operate F-16C/Ds out of Ramat David Air Force Base in northern Israel.
As part of the IOC process, the IAF defined the Spice 1000’s wartime operational procedures. “The tests were completed successfully in August [2017] and the munition was officially integrated into operational activity,” it stated.
F-16I and F-15 squadrons are next in line to receive the weapon.
